First Order Quark-Gluon/Hadron Transition May Affect Cosmological Nucleosynthesis
نویسنده
چکیده
In the model of a first order quark-gluon/hadron phase transition in which the hadronic phase is considered as vacuum bubbles growing in the quarkgluon background with chiral symmetry broken inside the bubble, we find the estimate for the length scale associated with inhomogeneities originated during the transition, 10 m < ∼ l < ∼ 40 m, being sufficient to produce significant effects on cosmological nucleosynthesis.

Peaks above the Harrison-Zel’dovich spectrum due to the Quark-Gluon to Hadron Transition
We investigate the effect of the quark-gluon to hadron transition at T⋆ ∼ 150 MeV on the evolution of primordial cosmological perturbations, in particular distortions of the HarrisonZel’dovich spectrum. If the phase transition is first order, the sound velocity vanishes during the transition. Thus, density perturbations fall freely for about a Hubble time. The primordial Harrison-Zel’dovich rms...
متن کاملDeviations from the Harrison - Zel ’ dovich spectrum due to the Quark - Gluon to Hadron Transition
We investigate the effect of the quark-gluon to hadron transition on the evolution of cosmological perturbations. If the phase transition is first order, the sound speed vanishes during the transition, and density perturbations fall freely. The primordial Harrison-Zel’dovich density fluctuations for scales below the Hubble radius at the transition develop peaks, which grow linearly with the wav...
متن کاملOn the Jeans instability during the QCD phase transition
The Jeans scale is estimated during the coexistence epoch of quark-gluon and hadron phases in the first-order QCD phase transition. It is shown that, contrary to previous claims, reduction of the sound speed is so little that the phase transition does not affect evolution of cosmological density fluctuations appreciably. متن کاملLarge nucleation distances from impurities in the cosmological quark-hadron transition.
We calculate the mean nucleation distance, dnuc, in a rst order cosmological quark-hadron phase transition. For homogeneous nucleation we nd that self-consistent inclusion of curvature energy reduces dnuc to < 2cm. However, impurities can lead to heterogeneous nucleation with dnuc of several meters, a value high enough to change the outcome of Big Bang nucleosynthesis. 98.80.Cq, 12.38.Mh, 12.39...
متن کاملPossible Cosmological Implications of the Quark - Hadron Phase Transition
We study the quark-hadron phase transition within an effective model of QCD, and find that in a reasonable range of the main parameters of the model, bodies with quark content between 10 −2 and 10 solar masses can have been formed in the early universe. In addition, we show that a significant amount of entropy is released during the transition. This may imply the existence of a higher baryon nu...
